Top 5 Events of 2023
As 2023 ends, it is the perfect time to look back and remember all the fabulous and fun events at Brightwater. Our team always strives to push the boundaries to create unique experiences for our Members. This mentality ensures that each event is better than the last. Our dedicated Social and Wellness Directors create a detailed, packed calendar to provide our Members with too much to do! From sensational Signature Experiences to hoppin’ happy hours to exciting excursions and so much more, this year was one for the record books, making it difficult to narrow down our top events.
Get ready to count down our top five events for this year:
5. Year of the Rabbit
At number five, we had our Chinese New Year Signature Experience, which brought us right into the Year of the Rabbit! During the event, our Members enjoyed Tai Chi, the ancient art of brush painting, and a fabulous dinner they will never forget. There was a “living table” where our Members experienced an entertainer who walked around the room while serving appetizers. While eating dinner, our Members also got to experience the fantastic performance of Lollipop Acrobats!
4. Disc Golf Tournament
Our Members love disc golf! So, when our community finished the new disc golf course, we knew we had to do something big! That’s, our community held a disc golf tournament where fourteen of our Members competed against one another. Everyone who participated did great and had so much fun. Here’s to smashing more chains in this new year!
3. 50’s Signature Experience
Talk about a Signature Experience that had our Members doing the sock hop, enjoying milkshakes at the soda shop, and watching movies at the golf cart drive-in. The day made our Members feel like they had traveled back to the 50s with a drive-in, 1955 Chevy photo booth, tons of dancing to classic 50s rock, a costume contest, and so much more.
2. Active Aging Week
Coming in at number two is our Active Aging week! This week was full of fun, healthy activities. During the week, our Members enjoyed a day of golf, a fun kayaking trip, a beach walk at Huntington Beach State Park and tested their fishing skills. To end the jam-packed week, they had a blast with a block party that was full of fun games like cornhole and yummy food.
1. Murder Mystery Dinner
And finishing the list at number one is our fabulous Murder Mystery Dinner. It was a night full of intrigue, delicious food, mystery, fabulous drinks, and murder! Who doesn’t love dinner and a show? And our team members and Members did a fantastic job acting out the scene.
And just like that, this year is ending, and we are ready to start another fantastic year full of fabulous events. We can’t wait to see what this year holds and how it will surpass this year’s events!
